Brewing instructions

Product Introduction: Song-type Dancong tea belongs to the oolong tea series. The mother tree was selected and bred by villagers in the late Song Dynasty (about 1279) and passed down to the present day. It was the oldest tea tree before 2016. Unfortunately, due to its old age and natural disasters such as ice, snow and frost, it finally fell down and died in August 2016. The ancient tea tree specimens now made are permanently collected and displayed in the Dancong Tea Museum in Fenghuang Town. The Song-type tea trees planted now are all its descendants. It has an elegant aroma, a fine and sharp fragrance of orchids, a mellow and fresh taste, a strong aftertaste, and is extremely resistant to brewing. It's a tea which gives everything it supposes to give. It had honey notes and it had floral notes. Tasted just like sweet honey flowers. The texture was nice, medium thick with minerals, smooth. The finish was sweet with a very grassy-floral notes.

Big dark leaf with big dark flavor upfront. Your first sip will greet you with a lightly-roasted flavor that has some sweet notes underneath. That sweet note - like a flower's nectar - will stay in your mouth for a while. Combined with the drying sensation, that sweet aftertaste will have you taking one sip after another. The aroma itself is lovely; the orchid descriptor is accurate. And though the leaves last for quite a few infusions, do be careful: this can get bitter if you oversteep. If you haven't tried a Dan Cong before, this tea is an excellent place to start.

This oolong is seriously hitting the spot. The flavor is so good, I could drink this all day. It's got such a smooth, satisfying taste. I'm definitely going to buy more of this. Highly recommend!
