  • Dancong Tea

    our story

Our tea garden is located in Ermao Village, Fenghuang Town, Chaozhou City, on a mountain with an altitude of 1,000 meters, surrounded by clouds and mist, with the best soil, air and humidity, and adheres to the traditional Chinese handmade tea making process.

I am 50 years old and a villager in Ermao Village, Fenghuang Mountain. My family has been tea farmers for generations, making a living by planting and frying tea. I have helped my grandfather grow, fry, and make tea since I was a child, so I learned the methods and techniques of making Dancong tea since I was a child, and my grandfather later passed it on to my father. I lived in Fenghuang Mountain until I was admitted to university and went to study abroad. After graduation, I worked in a bank for a while until my father passed away. I inherited the family's tea garden. At the same time, I didn't like the constraints of working in a bank, so I resigned and returned to Fenghuang Mountain to restart my life as a tea farmer. I rented land from the village chief and opened a new tea garden. Now there are two tea gardens in total. A few years ago, a road was built on Fenghuang Mountain, and I moved to the city to open a store. Now it only takes an hour to drive back to the tea garden from the city. Every few days, I go back to take care of the tea garden, loosen the soil of the tea trees, and spread some animal manure. Every spring, tea trees sprout, and it is the season for picking and making tea. Living in the mountains for these months is also the lifestyle of most tea farmers in Fenghuang Mountain. After making tea, many tea merchants will go into the mountains to buy tea. After making enough money to support their families this year, many tea farmers will choose to travel and wait until next spring. Some tea farmers will go to the city to do other jobs temporarily, while others will open shops in the city.

Now our descendants have grown up, and they have joined our team after returning from studying abroad.

Among us are tea tree planting experts, tea making experts, tea appraisers, and tea artists. We are villagers of Ermao Village in Fenghuang Mountain. Our descendants have grown up and returned from studying abroad to join our team, responsible for network and technical work.
