Brewing instructions

Brewing Instructions: You can use a ceramic covered bowl or a purple clay teapot to brew. The recommended tea-water ratio is 1:15. The water temperature should be kept above 95 degrees during the entire brewing process. After the water boils, the first and second pours of water are used to clean the impurities on the surface of the tea leaves and wake up the tea leaves. After the third pour, you can officially taste the tea. Please wait 3-4 seconds after each pour before pouring out the tea. The retention time can be adjusted according to personal preference. Applicable tea sets: ceramic covered bowls, purple clay teapots.

Product introduction: It is said that during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, there was a poor tea farmer named Wei Yin in Xiping Township, Anxi. He passed by a dilapidated Guanyin Temple near the village every day, and he was full of respect. He insisted on sweeping the floor, burning incense, and offering sacrifices to Guanyin Bodhisattva year after year.
One night, he dreamed that Guanyin Bodhisattva instructed him to look for treasures in the cracks of rocks on the mountain. The next day, he followed the guidance in his dream and found a strange tea tree under a rock. He took it home and cultivated it carefully. A few years later, the tea produced by this tea tree had a delicate fragrance, rich taste, and lasting sweetness. It was as fragrant as orchid and was called a divine product.
In order to thank Guanyin for giving him tea, he named it "Iron Guanyin"

The aroma of Qingxiang Tieguanyin is fresh and elegant, with a touch of orchid and fresh fruity aroma of green apple. The aroma lingers gently on the tip of the nose and is very refreshing. Origin and production process

The production process of Qingxiang Tieguanyin focuses on maintaining the natural aroma of tea leaves. The shaking and killing process is relatively light, and the baking temperature is also relatively light to preserve the fresh aroma of tea leaves. This light fermentation and light baking process gives Qingxiang Tieguanyin a unique "three green" feature: green dry tea, green soup color, and green leaf bottom.

It's a tea which gives everything it supposes to give. It had honey notes and it had floral notes. Tasted just like sweet honey flowers. The texture was nice, medium thick with minerals, smooth. The finish was sweet with a very grassy-floral notes.

Big dark leaf with big dark flavor upfront. Your first sip will greet you with a lightly-roasted flavor that has some sweet notes underneath. That sweet note - like a flower's nectar - will stay in your mouth for a while. Combined with the drying sensation, that sweet aftertaste will have you taking one sip after another. The aroma itself is lovely; the orchid descriptor is accurate. And though the leaves last for quite a few infusions, do be careful: this can get bitter if you oversteep. If you haven't tried a Dan Cong before, this tea is an excellent place to start.

This is a delightful, everyday tea at an affordable price. I like to brew mine strong and this tea stands up to that without becoming bitter or harsh. Lovely smooth and mellow taste - it's a keeper!

Strong and delicious

The tea has an earthy, strong, clean taste and smells amazing. The longer the leaves steep, the stronger the flavor so if you prefer a mild flavor, remove after 5 min or so.
I love that I can keep adding water and it doesn't dilute the flavor. You get 3+ cups of concentrated flavor from a tablespoon of leaves.
