Dofo Tea's Philosophy

We Choose Loose Leaf Tea, Always

We never use tea bags because we believe nothing should stand between you and the true character of exceptional tea.

Loose leaves have room to fully expand, releasing their complete flavor, aroma, and natural richness. Watching the leaves gradually unfold is also part of the experience—a small ritual that connects you to the tea and the centuries-old traditions behind it.

It may take a little extra time, but we believe the finest Chinese teas are worth slowing down for.

In today's world of rapid development everywhere, everyone rushes through life. You might as well slow your pace, calm your mind, and use our Gongfu brewing method to craft a cup of high-quality Chinese tea that steadies your breathing. This is all something worth taking the time to experience.

Gongfu Brewing Guide

Here’s our suggested brewing method—you can adjust the tea amount, water volume, temperature, and steeping time to suit your personal taste. For the best experience, we recommend using purified water rather than tap or mineral water. Beginners can start with a regular or simplified brewing method, and if you’re interested in exploring our traditional Gongfu brewing technique, feel free to contact our customer service to book a one-on-one online brewing session.

Frequently asked questions

How many times can I steep Yunnan Ancient Tree White Tea Wafers?

Thanks to the rich nutrients in wild old tea trees, these wafers are incredibly durable. If using the traditional Gongfu brewing method, you can easily enjoy 8 to 10+ infusions. Even with western-style teapot brewing, it yields 3 to 4 flavorful steepings.

What does Yunnan Ancient Tree White Tea Wafers taste like for beginners?

For beginners, it is incredibly smooth, sweet, and zero bitterness. You will experience a bright, refreshing wild floral aroma paired with a distinct honey-like sweetness and a thick, smooth mouthfeel that lingers.

What is the best teaware to brew Yunnan Ancient Tree White Tea Wafers?

A porcelain Gaiwan or a clear glass teapot is highly recommended. Porcelain preserves the delicate floral notes perfectly, while glass allows you to watch the beautiful leaves unfurl from the wafer shape.

Does Yunnan Ancient Tree White Tea Wafers come directly from its place of origin?

Yes, absolutely. This tea is sourced directly from the high-altitude, ancient tea forests in Yunnan Province, China, ensuring authentic terroir and pristine quality.

What makes a "Wafer" shape convenient for daily brewing?

Each wafer is pre-pressed into a perfect single-serving size (usually around 5g to 7g). There is no need for a tea knife or scales—just drop one wafer into your teaware, and it's ready to brew, making it perfect for office or travel.

Our tea is naturally grown, hand-picked, and sourced from authentic tea gardens
