Dofo Tea's Philosophy

We Choose Loose Leaf Tea, Always

We never use tea bags because we believe nothing should stand between you and the true character of exceptional tea.

Loose leaves have room to fully expand, releasing their complete flavor, aroma, and natural richness. Watching the leaves gradually unfold is also part of the experience—a small ritual that connects you to the tea and the centuries-old traditions behind it.

It may take a little extra time, but we believe the finest Chinese teas are worth slowing down for.

In today's world of rapid development everywhere, everyone rushes through life. You might as well slow your pace, calm your mind, and use our Gongfu brewing method to craft a cup of high-quality Chinese tea that steadies your breathing. This is all something worth taking the time to experience.

Gongfu Brewing Guide

Here’s our suggested brewing method—you can adjust the tea amount, water volume, temperature, and steeping time to suit your personal taste. For the best experience, we recommend using purified water rather than tap or mineral water. Beginners can start with a regular or simplified brewing method, and if you’re interested in exploring our traditional Gongfu brewing technique, feel free to contact our customer service to book a one-on-one online brewing session.

Product information

Product name:Value Roasted Tieguanyin Oolong Tea
Brand name:DOFO
Product introduction: It is said that during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, there was a poor tea farmer named Wei Yin in Xiping Township, Anxi. He passed by a dilapidated Guanyin Temple near the village every day, and he was full of respect. He insisted on sweeping the floor, burning incense, and offering sacrifices to Guanyin Bodhisattva year after year.

One night, he dreamed that Guanyin Bodhisattva instructed him to look for treasures in the cracks of rocks on the mountain. The next day, he followed the guidance in his dream and found a strange tea tree under a rock. He took it home and cultivated it carefully. A few years later, the tea produced by this tea tree had a delicate fragrance, rich taste, and lasting sweetness. It was as fragrant as orchid and was called a divine product.

In order to thank Guanyin for giving him tea, he named it "Iron Guanyin"
The strong-flavor Tieguanyin is mellow and smooth, with a strong aftertaste and a profound throat rhyme.

Frequently asked questions

5 Questions
How many times can I steep Value Roasted Tieguanyin Oolong Tea?

You can comfortably get 5 to 6 full-bodied steepings out of these roasted pearls, providing excellent endurance for daily drinking.

What does Value Roasted Tieguanyin Oolong Tea taste like for beginners?

It tastes warm, comforting, and hearty. Beginners will enjoy its straightforward, deeply comforting flavor of toasted grains, sweet charcoal smoke, and a subtle molasses-like sweetness.

What is the best teaware to brew Value Roasted Tieguanyin Oolong Tea?

It is highly versatile—a standard ceramic mug with an infuser basket or a basic teapot is perfectly fine, as the roasting process makes the leaves highly resilient to over-brewing.

How should I keep this tea fresh if I drink it slowly?

Because it is heavily roasted, it is much more stable than light green oolongs. Simply clip the inner foil bag tightly and store it in a dry kitchen cabinet at room temperature—no refrigeration needed!

Does this tea contain any artificial flavorings?

Never. The entire toasted, smoky, and nutty profile is developed organically through controlled thermal application on the raw tea leaves during the baking process.

Our tea is naturally grown, hand-picked, and sourced from authentic tea gardens

Our teas are carefully picked from their authentic places of origin, then handcrafted using traditional methods passed down through generations. Every leaf reflects the purity of the land it comes from, ensuring you enjoy a truly genuine and honest cup of tea.
