Dofo Tea's Philosophy

We Choose Loose Leaf Tea, Always

We never use tea bags because we believe nothing should stand between you and the true character of exceptional tea.

Loose leaves have room to fully expand, releasing their complete flavor, aroma, and natural richness. Watching the leaves gradually unfold is also part of the experience—a small ritual that connects you to the tea and the centuries-old traditions behind it.

It may take a little extra time, but we believe the finest Chinese teas are worth slowing down for.

In today's world of rapid development everywhere, everyone rushes through life. You might as well slow your pace, calm your mind, and use our Gongfu brewing method to craft a cup of high-quality Chinese tea that steadies your breathing. This is all something worth taking the time to experience.

Gongfu Brewing Guide

Here’s our suggested brewing method—you can adjust the tea amount, water volume, temperature, and steeping time to suit your personal taste. For the best experience, we recommend using purified water rather than tap or mineral water. Beginners can start with a regular or simplified brewing method, and if you’re interested in exploring our traditional Gongfu brewing technique, feel free to contact our customer service to book a one-on-one online brewing session.

Product information

Product name: Song Zhong (Heritage Old Tree) Dancong Oolong Tea
Brand name: DOFO
Product Introduction: Song-type Dancong tea belongs to the oolong tea series. The mother tree was selected and bred by villagers in the late Song Dynasty (about 1279) and passed down to the present day. It was the oldest tea tree before 2016. Unfortunately, due to its old age and natural disasters such as ice, snow and frost, it finally fell down and died in August 2016. The ancient tea tree specimens now made are permanently collected and displayed in the Dancong Tea Museum in Fenghuang Town. The Song-type tea trees planted now are all its descendants. It has an elegant aroma, a fine and sharp fragrance of orchids, a mellow and fresh taste, a strong aftertaste, and is extremely resistant to brewing. It has the obvious charm of old mountain tea trees.
