Dofo Tea's Philosophy

We Choose Loose Leaf Tea, Always

We never use tea bags because we believe nothing should stand between you and the true character of exceptional tea.

Loose leaves have room to fully expand, releasing their complete flavor, aroma, and natural richness. Watching the leaves gradually unfold is also part of the experience—a small ritual that connects you to the tea and the centuries-old traditions behind it.

It may take a little extra time, but we believe the finest Chinese teas are worth slowing down for.

In today's world of rapid development everywhere, everyone rushes through life. You might as well slow your pace, calm your mind, and use our Gongfu brewing method to craft a cup of high-quality Chinese tea that steadies your breathing. This is all something worth taking the time to experience.

Gongfu Brewing Guide

Here’s our suggested brewing method—you can adjust the tea amount, water volume, temperature, and steeping time to suit your personal taste. For the best experience, we recommend using purified water rather than tap or mineral water. Beginners can start with a regular or simplified brewing method, and if you’re interested in exploring our traditional Gongfu brewing technique, feel free to contact our customer service to book a one-on-one online brewing session.

Frequently asked questions

How many times can I steep Guangdong Big Leaf Yellow (Greenish Yellow) Tea?

You can comfortably enjoy 5 to 7 smooth infusions. The large, robust leaves release their mellow, fruity flavors gradually and steadily.

What does Guangdong Big Leaf Yellow (Greenish Yellow) Tea taste like for beginners?

It perfectly bridges the gap between green tea and light oolong. Beginners will find it incredibly easy to drink, offering a mellow, soft liquor with hints of sweet stone fruit, a mild floral aroma, and a remarkably clean finish with no harshness.

What is the best teaware to brew Guangdong Big Leaf Yellow (Greenish Yellow) Tea?

A standard porcelain Gaiwan or a glass teapot works wonderfully to brew this loose leaf tea. The spacious teaware allows the large, greenish-yellow leaves to expand fully and evenly.

Does Guangdong Big Leaf Yellow (Greenish Yellow) Tea come directly from its place of origin?

Yes, it does. This unique, rare style of yellow tea is sourced directly from authentic, specialized tea gardens in Guangdong Province, China.

Why is it called "Greenish Yellow" Tea?

Unlike other yellow teas, "Da Ye Qing" undergoes a unique process where the fresh leaves are briefly wilted before being pan-fried and smothered. This retains a greenish-yellow appearance while developing a much softer, more oxidized flavor profile than standard green teas.

Our tea is naturally grown, hand-picked, and sourced from authentic tea gardens

Our teas are carefully picked from their authentic places of origin, then handcrafted using traditional methods passed down through generations. Every leaf reflects the purity of the land it comes from, ensuring you enjoy a truly genuine and honest cup of tea.
