Dofo Tea's Philosophy

We Choose Loose Leaf Tea, Always

We never use tea bags because we believe nothing should stand between you and the true character of exceptional tea.

Loose leaves have room to fully expand, releasing their complete flavor, aroma, and natural richness. Watching the leaves gradually unfold is also part of the experience—a small ritual that connects you to the tea and the centuries-old traditions behind it.

It may take a little extra time, but we believe the finest Chinese teas are worth slowing down for.

In today's world of rapid development everywhere, everyone rushes through life. You might as well slow your pace, calm your mind, and use our Gongfu brewing method to craft a cup of high-quality Chinese tea that steadies your breathing. This is all something worth taking the time to experience.

Gongfu Brewing Guide

Here’s our suggested brewing method—you can adjust the tea amount, water volume, temperature, and steeping time to suit your personal taste. For the best experience, we recommend using purified water rather than tap or mineral water. Beginners can start with a regular or simplified brewing method, and if you’re interested in exploring our traditional Gongfu brewing technique, feel free to contact our customer service to book a one-on-one online brewing session.

Product information

Product name: Eight Immortals (Ba Xian) Dancong Oolong Tea
Brand name: DOFO
Product Introduction:Baxian is a single-cong tea belonging to the oolong tea series. In 1989, tea farmers in Fenghuang Mountain cut branches and grafted from a large black-leaved single-cong (single-cong) tea tree. After cultivation, eight plants finally survived. After that, Baxian was well received in local tea evaluations. Because there were exactly eight plants, it was jokingly called like the Chinese traditional opera Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea. The original name of this tea variety was "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea", and later it was shortened to "Eight Immortals". The dried tea of Baxian is tight and straight, larger than other single-cong teas, dark brown, oily and shiny, with a golden soup color, mellow and refreshing, often slightly sweet, and with a distinct orchid fragrance. Because single-cong Baxian single-cong tea is generally lightly roasted, it tastes a bit like sugarcane.
