Dofo Tea's Philosophy

We Choose Loose Leaf Tea, Always

We never use tea bags because we believe nothing should stand between you and the true character of exceptional tea.

Loose leaves have room to fully expand, releasing their complete flavor, aroma, and natural richness. Watching the leaves gradually unfold is also part of the experience—a small ritual that connects you to the tea and the centuries-old traditions behind it.

It may take a little extra time, but we believe the finest Chinese teas are worth slowing down for.

In today's world of rapid development everywhere, everyone rushes through life. You might as well slow your pace, calm your mind, and use our Gongfu brewing method to craft a cup of high-quality Chinese tea that steadies your breathing. This is all something worth taking the time to experience.

Gongfu Brewing Guide

Here’s our suggested brewing method—you can adjust the tea amount, water volume, temperature, and steeping time to suit your personal taste. For the best experience, we recommend using purified water rather than tap or mineral water. Beginners can start with a regular or simplified brewing method, and if you’re interested in exploring our traditional Gongfu brewing technique, feel free to contact our customer service to book a one-on-one online brewing session.

Product information

Product name:Classic Light Aroma Tieguanyin Oolong Tea
Brand name: DOFO
Product introduction: It is said that during the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, there was a poor tea farmer named Wei Yin in Xiping Township, Anxi. He passed by a dilapidated Guanyin Temple near the village every day, and he was respectful. He insisted on sweeping the floor, burning incense, and offering sacrifices to Guanyin Bodhisattva year after year.
One night, he dreamed that Guanyin Bodhisattva instructed him to look for treasures in the cracks of the rocks on the mountain. The next day, he followed the guidance in his dream and found a strange tea tree under a rock. He took it home and cultivated it carefully. A few years later, the tea made from this tea tree had a fresh fragrance, a strong taste, a lasting sweetness, and a strange fragrance like orchids. It was called a divine product.

In order to thank Guanyin for giving tea, he named it "Iron Guanyin"
The most prominent feature of the Classic Light Aroma Tieguanyin is its "light and fresh fragrance", with a strong aroma and a refreshing soup.
Frequently asked questions

How many times can I steep Classic Light Aroma Tieguanyin Oolong Tea?

It infuses beautifully 5 to 6 times. Each round releases a steady stream of crisp, refreshing floral aromatics and clean green flavor.

What does Classic Light Aroma Tieguanyin Oolong Tea taste like for beginners?

It is exceptionally bright, clean, and floral. It is highly approachable for beginners who love green tea but want something smoother, offering a fragrant blast of lily, fresh cut grass, and a sweet pear finish.

What is the best teaware to brew Classic Light Aroma Tieguanyin Oolong Tea?

A glass teapot or a porcelain Gaiwan works flawlessly. Glass allows you to easily observe the small green pellets unwrap into full, beautiful leaves.

Why are the edges of the leaves slightly red or brown?

This is a hallmark of traditional oolong oxidation known as "Green leaves with red edges." Bruising the leaf edges during processing triggers a gentle localized oxidation that generates its distinct floral perfume.

Can I cold brew Classic Light Aroma Tieguanyin Oolong Tea?

Yes, it makes an incredible cold brew! Throw a few pearls into a bottle of cold water and leave it in the fridge overnight. It creates an ultra-refreshing, floral-scented iced tea with zero bitterness.
