Dofo Tea's Philosophy

We Choose Loose Leaf Tea, Always

We never use tea bags because we believe nothing should stand between you and the true character of exceptional tea.

Loose leaves have room to fully expand, releasing their complete flavor, aroma, and natural richness. Watching the leaves gradually unfold is also part of the experience—a small ritual that connects you to the tea and the centuries-old traditions behind it.

It may take a little extra time, but we believe the finest Chinese teas are worth slowing down for.

In today's world of rapid development everywhere, everyone rushes through life. You might as well slow your pace, calm your mind, and use our Gongfu brewing method to craft a cup of high-quality Chinese tea that steadies your breathing. This is all something worth taking the time to experience.

Gongfu Brewing Guide

Here’s our suggested brewing method—you can adjust the tea amount, water volume, temperature, and steeping time to suit your personal taste. For the best experience, we recommend using purified water rather than tap or mineral water. Beginners can start with a regular or simplified brewing method, and if you’re interested in exploring our traditional Gongfu brewing technique, feel free to contact our customer service to book a one-on-one online brewing session.

Frequently asked questions

How many times can I steep Aged Fuding White Tea Cake?

Because the leaves are compressed, they release their flavor slowly and steadily. You can steep this tea cake 8 to 10+ times via Gongfu brewing, and the flavor often peaks around the 3rd to 5th infusion.

What does Aged Fuding White Tea Cake taste like for beginners?

It tastes rich, sweet, and full-bodied. It delivers a deeply comforting aroma of dried dates, honey, and a hint of woodiness, followed by a remarkably clean, velvety finish that coats the throat beautifully.

What is the best teaware to brew Aged Fuding White Tea Cake?

A purple clay teapot (Yixing Zisha) or a thick-walled porcelain Gaiwan is ideal. The excellent heat retention of these vessels helps fully open up the compressed leaves and unlock their mature aromas.

Does Aged Fuding White Tea Cake come directly from its place of origin?

Yes, it does. It comes straight from Fuding in Fujian Province, China. It was harvested, crafted, and pressed into cakes right at the source to preserve its authentic lineage.

How do I break apart Aged Fuding White Tea Cake for brewing?

Use a specialized tea knife or pick. Insert it gently into the edge of the cake parallel to the layers, pry upwards slightly, and flake off a portion (about 5g for a standard Gaiwan). Try not to crush the leaves into small dust.

Our tea is naturally grown, hand-picked, and sourced from authentic tea gardens

Our teas are carefully picked from their authentic places of origin, then handcrafted using traditional methods passed down through generations. Every leaf reflects the purity of the land it comes from, ensuring you enjoy a truly genuine and honest cup of tea.
