Dofo Tea's Philosophy

We Choose Loose Leaf Tea, Always

We never use tea bags because we believe nothing should stand between you and the true character of exceptional tea.

Loose leaves have room to fully expand, releasing their complete flavor, aroma, and natural richness. Watching the leaves gradually unfold is also part of the experience—a small ritual that connects you to the tea and the centuries-old traditions behind it.

It may take a little extra time, but we believe the finest Chinese teas are worth slowing down for.

In today's world of rapid development everywhere, everyone rushes through life. You might as well slow your pace, calm your mind, and use our Gongfu brewing method to craft a cup of high-quality Chinese tea that steadies your breathing. This is all something worth taking the time to experience.

Gongfu Brewing Guide

Here’s our suggested brewing method—you can adjust the tea amount, water volume, temperature, and steeping time to suit your personal taste. For the best experience, we recommend using purified water rather than tap or mineral water. Beginners can start with a regular or simplified brewing method, and if you’re interested in exploring our traditional Gongfu brewing technique, feel free to contact our customer service to book a one-on-one online brewing session.

Frequently asked questions

How many times can I steep Classic Dragon Well (Longjing) Green Tea?

You can get 3 solid infusions out of these leaves. The second steep typically delivers the sturdiest body and the fullest roasted nutty flavor profile.

What does Classic Dragon Well (Longjing) Green Tea taste like for beginners?

It is bold, comforting, and highly approachable. Beginners will instantly notice a hearty, savory base reminiscent of toasted seeds, steamed edamame, and a refreshing, clean herbal finish that revitalizes the palate.

What is the best teaware to brew Classic Dragon Well (Longjing) Green Tea?

A standard glass teapot or a clear glass tumbler is excellent. It offers a low-maintenance brewing experience while letting you enjoy the bright green visual aesthetic of the unfurling leaves.

Does Classic Dragon Well (Longjing) Green Tea come directly from its place of origin?

Yes, it does. It is harvested and pan-fired directly within the historical tea-growing regions of Zhejiang Province, China, and brought straight to you without middleman storage delay.

What is the difference between "Premium" and "Classic" Dragon Well tea?

Premium Dragon Well is harvested during the earliest days of spring, yielding smaller, sweeter, and more delicate buds. Classic Dragon Well is picked slightly later, providing a more robust, full-bodied, and richly toasted flavor profile that stands up well to daily drinking.
