Dofo Tea's Philosophy

We Choose Loose Leaf Tea, Always

We never use tea bags because we believe nothing should stand between you and the true character of exceptional tea.

Loose leaves have room to fully expand, releasing their complete flavor, aroma, and natural richness. Watching the leaves gradually unfold is also part of the experience—a small ritual that connects you to the tea and the centuries-old traditions behind it.

It may take a little extra time, but we believe the finest Chinese teas are worth slowing down for.

In today's world of rapid development everywhere, everyone rushes through life. You might as well slow your pace, calm your mind, and use our Gongfu brewing method to craft a cup of high-quality Chinese tea that steadies your breathing. This is all something worth taking the time to experience.

Gongfu Brewing Guide

Here’s our suggested brewing method—you can adjust the tea amount, water volume, temperature, and steeping time to suit your personal taste. For the best experience, we recommend using purified water rather than tap or mineral water. Beginners can start with a regular or simplified brewing method, and if you’re interested in exploring our traditional Gongfu brewing technique, feel free to contact our customer service to book a one-on-one online brewing session.

Frequently asked questions

How many times can I steep Aged Fuding White Tea?

This aged loose leaf tea can be steeped 6 to 8 times using the Gongfu method. The flavor releases relatively quickly compared to compressed cakes, giving you a rich, satisfying brew from the very first cup.

What does Aged Fuding White Tea taste like for beginners?

It is warm, comforting, and deeply soothing. Beginners will enjoy its smooth, mellow texture with distinct notes of aged jujube (red dates) and sweet sun-dried hay, entirely free of the grassy astringency found in fresh green teas.

What is the best teaware to brew this loose leaf tea?

A porcelain Gaiwan or a ceramic teapot works best. The ceramic material helps maintain a stable temperature to gently draw out the deep, sweet, aged flavors of the leaves.

Does Aged Fuding White Tea come directly from its place of origin?

Yes, 100%. It is sourced directly from Fuding, Fujian Province, China—the undisputed birthplace of authentic white tea, where it has been naturally aged under optimal conditions.

Can I simmer or boil Aged Fuding White Tea?

Yes, you can! Unlike green or young teas, aged white tea loves boiling. After a few normal steepings, you can simmer the leaves in a glass or clay kettle for 3 to 5 minutes to extract a deeply sweet, medicinal, and herbal liquor.

Our tea is naturally grown, hand-picked, and sourced from authentic tea gardens
